Documents current processes to establish a baseline for developmental improvements of future workflows and recommends and assists with implementing new and improved processes and workflows
Participates in interdisciplinary and process improvement teams to identify potential uses of the information systems and potential improvements in current use of systems
Educates clinical and support staff to optimize information system/ applications and maintain integrity. Supports clinical staff to use technology in a manner which promotes patient safety, confidentiality and efficiency
Coordinates data reporting and performs analysis necessary to support patient/clinical records, performance improvement and departmental decision-making
Acts as a liaison to clinically related committees (i.e. Nursing Institute, Institute for Clinical Excellence, P and T committee, etc.) and staff to coordinate and communicate CIS projects and outcomes measurement. Facilitates ongoing enterprise CIS design and implementation associated with assigned clinical discipline policies and practices and QM standards
Current licensure as appropriate (i.e. RN, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, or other related clinical license), required. Advanced clinical licensure (i.e. PA, NP), preferred
Current clinical practice, healthcare operations expertise and a strong customer service focus with ability to develop effective working relationships, required

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or Health care preferred
OR eight years related work experience
OR equivalent combination of education and experience where each year of education equates to two years of experience (four years of experience will be substituted for an associate's degree and eight years of experience will be substituted for a bachelor's degree)
Minimum of three (3) years of IT, Healthcare, or related experience required
Minimum of two (2) years Epic Experience as an analyst or Trainer required

Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundation certification within six (6) months of date of hire, or moving into this position, required

In collaboration with Epic Analysts and clinicians, provides routine Epic Enhancement and Project support including but not limited to note review, research, recommendations, impact analysis, workflow analysis, validation, end-user education, end-user communication, and go-live support. Provides early identification of super-user and credentialed trainer needs for training and go live support
Demonstrates proficiency in developing and administering training need assessments, analyzes organizational needs, and develops organizational solutions that have a measureable impact on addressing performance gaps and problems and collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure the strategic direction of training aligns with organizational plans
Designs, develops, and maintains instructor manuals, training materials, job aids, and documentation procedures using standardized tools and templates
Develops and conducts workflow overviews and attends training change communication events
Works in collaboration with the Clinical Informatics I to provide mentorship in improving application knowledge and presentation skills
