- Plan, organize, and lead the execution of maintenance outages including outages for regular maintenance (e.g. annual outages, repairs, preventive maintenance) and capital projects (e.g. gas and steam turbine overhauls, BOP equipment, plant modifications and upgrades)
- Coordinate with stakeholders to develop and execute outage scope, budget, execution plan, schedule, resource requirements, permit applications, commissioning plan, pre-start safety review, documentation, drawing modifications, close-out of punch list items, and training where appropriate
- For outage-related work, contribute to and review feasibility studies, cost estimates, investment valuations, decision summaries, risk analyses and conceptual plans, preliminary and detailed design work
- Coordinate or direct the work of external consultants and contractors
- Provide leadership and influence in the continuous development of outage management tools and processes
- Make independent decisions and communicate recommendations to management and other affected parties in a way that fosters consensus and facilitates efficient outcomes
- Must have unrestricted ability to travel within North America up to approximately 30 days at a time

- Solid understanding and knowledge of project management principles and practices
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to provide and present timely and relevant feedback/reporting to various stakeholders. Candidate will be asked to submit a technical writing sample

- Proficient in reading and understanding mechanical discipline drawings including P&IDs, piping isometrics, general arrangements, mechanical system drawings

- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of PC-based computer systems and software applications with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project
- Recognized certificate or diploma in Project Management would be an asset
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation recognized by PEO or equivalent would be an asset
