- Knows and reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with YMCA policies, procedures and completes related reports as required
- Knows, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, polices, and guidelines for the pool and aquatic areas
- Maintain branch and association certifications in CPR-PRO, YMCA Lifeguard, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, Branch and off-site Emergency procedures, and any other required certifications and/or training required by the Metro Atlanta YMCA

- Oversee year-round training program of roughly 250 Asphalt Green Masters •Plan and schedule coaches each month for practices
- Current U.S. Masters swimmer or coach
- Up-to-date coaching certifications
- Must have four years’ experience of participating with or in competitive swimming
- Ability to communicate effectively, motivate students and lead swimmers of all ages
- Establish and maintain effective working relationship with participants, parents, volunteers, and staff
- Ability to respond in a timely manner to safety and emergency situations
- Two or more years of experience participating in, or working with swim teams
- College degree is preferred but not compulsory
