- Ensures that employees are oriented to the departments and hospital, including safety and infection control policies and procedures. Allocates time for education meetings. Plans and conducts inservice educational programs for subordinates, students, and other hospital personnel as necessary. Collaborates with others responsible for organization wide education to assure that learning needs are identified and addressed
- Directs the preparation of records as well as recurring and special reports and analyses ensuring that they are complete, accurate and timely. Reviews and interprets reports and analyses
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Nursing required
- Current nursing licensure in the State of Illinois
- Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible clinical nursing experience required preferably in Home Health
- Previous supervisory or management experience required
- National certification in nursing leadership within one year of hire, or upon achievement of eligibility
- The communications skills necessary to present information in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner
- The analytical skills necessary to evaluate personnel and program effectiveness, to project and plan program goals and to prepare analytical reports
- The interpersonal skills necessary to interact with all levels of hospital personnel, physicians, patients, and outside agencies
- The organizational skills necessary to work through teams and team facilitators to achieve established goals
