- Initial contact for IT support for all telephone and wifi issues
- Avaya PBX phone system
- Design, install, and maintain various telecommunications and telephone systems (Analog, Digital and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)) at Department of State (DoS) locations throughout Iraq
- Support Lead and DoS Full Time Employee (FTE) Telephone Technician to identify current system requirements and plan for likely future needs
- Generate recommendations for system configuration standards and additional equipment procurements
- Install and terminate copper and fiber optic-based cabling necessary to provide telephone service
- Work with the Communications Support Lead and CONUS-based technical support on outages to restore service as quickly as possible
- Will travel to off-site locations to install, upgrade, maintain equipment, and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- The successful candidate will require an aptitude for working with applications/systems to undertake analysis, diagnosis and resolution of issues, which may range from straightforward to more complicated technical issues
- 2 years' IP Telephony provisioning and support experience required
- Must be 21 years of age or older, have completed technical school or possess the equivalent of an Associate of Arts degree, and possess a valid driver’s license
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience with a variety of Nortel Meridian/Ayava equipment repair and maintenance
- Must be able to adapt to other specialized equipment
