Exercise Job Description
- Cleans, maintains, and inspects exercise equipment
- Implement and effectively monitor protocol-specific exercise training sessions in the Exercise Oncology Service’s research studies, in adherence with the best practices
- Utilize appropriate monitoring techniques and technologies to optimize training sessions and assess resting and exercise vital signs and symptoms, including heart rate, blood pressure and oxygen saturation
- Calibrate, operate and maintain exercise training equipment (e.g., treadmill, ergometers, sphygmomanometer, scales, heart rate monitors, resistance machines)
- Conduct individualized program orientation for patient and family
- Complete patient assessment, forming and implementing a multidisciplinary plan of care
