Previously, I was responsible for leadership by directing, planning, organizing and evaluating the 4th Floor Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit to comply with hospital and medical standards set forth by regulatory organizations (State, TJC, CMS, etc.).

Please consider my qualifications and experience:

• Previous computer and or electronic health record experience preferred
• Basic EKE course certification preferred
• Current Idaho CNA Certification
• American Heart Association CPR Healthcare Provider certification on hire
• Completed EKG class (400 only)
• Prior experience as a monitor technician is preferred
• Detailed understanding of the mechanical aspects of natural gas powered engines
• Detailed understanding of the relationship (engine, compressor) of horsepower generated versus horsepower consumed and the effects on the emissions control equipment

• Basic Arrhythmia Certification

• Demonstrates competency in identifying cardiac rhythms based on medical knowledge of cardiac patient populations, pathology, medications
• Demonstrates knowledge of the effects of cardiac medications on the physiology of the heart
• Demonstrates principles of Relationship-based Care to cultivate and maintain therapeutic relationships as a means to optimal patient healing and collegial functioning as interdisciplinary care team members
• Six months of experience working in acute care patient environment

In my previous role, I was responsible for maintenance & technical support for assigned medical equipment including but not limited to Physiological Monitoring Systems, Wireless Medical Telemetry Systems, Defibrillators, Electro Cardiographs (ECG), Electro Myo Graphs (EMG), Electro Surgical Units (ESU), Humidifiers, Blanket Warmers, Hypothermia Units, & etc.

Please consider my experience and qualifications for this position:

• EMT-P or Paramedic
• Functioned as MT or EMT-P
• Successful completion of Basic EKG exam prior to hire
• Previous holter scanning, stress testing or telemetry experience would be preferred
• Certified Cardiovascular Technician School or comparable certification preferred
• Completed a formal Monitor Technician program either at a vocational school or hospital based program
• Successful completion of didactic and clinical based EKG examinations
• Secretarial experience in a hospital setting is preferred

• Patient location will be placed on telemetry monitor when travelling off the unit
• Utilization of EMR for proper patient identification
