  • Advanced knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research design; scientific research concepts and terminology
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to apply all relevant Federal, state, and university regulations policies, and federal guidance documents
  • Advanced skills in using software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, database applications, and internet search engines
  • Demonstrated self-discipline and independent judgment completing highly complex, broadly defined assignments
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the regulatory policies governing the conduct of clinical research, including familiarity with clinical trial documents such as protocols and informed consents
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory, financial and administrative requirements of third party billing for clinical trials
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with multiple departments and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, particularly using electronic resources and communication
  • Ability to provide quality customer service. Ability to interface with various levels of faculty, staff, departments, and external collaborators and business entities
  • Knowledge of UCSF fund management policies and procedures related to clinical research coverage analysis and budgeting
  • Proficiency with OnCore or similar Clinical Trials Management System
  • Experience in an Academic Medical Center environment
