- Rotates within department as required

- Attends advanced training sessions and seminars in order to maintain industry standards in imaging techniques and disseminates information to imaging departmental leadership and as a part of new hire orientation
- Creates and implements new training programs, where applicable, and assists with the startup of new offsite locations

- Perform Screening Mammograms using GE Senographer Essential equipment
- Evaluates images for diagnostic quality, obtaining additional images as needed if requested by Radiologist
- Explains procedure to patient prior to performance of the exam
- Completes paperwork after each patient, closes the chart before opening a chart for a new patient
- Consults with radiologist when necessary to determine appropriate exam in the event there is a question in patent history
- If a question in the images appearance will immediately contact the Radiologist prior to any additional images taken
- Conducts QC testing to ensure the quality control functions related to mammography
- May be asked to cover other sites as needed
- Accountable for the daily management and quality of care provided within the mammography Department
- The technologist is directly involved in a variety of mammography procedures including stereotactic biopsies, has an extensive experience with available mammography and stereotactic equipment in terms of product evaluation, troubleshooting and quality control
- Ability to perform professional duties with minimal supervision
