Registered Nurse Medical Surgical Cover Letter

I submit this application to express my sincere interest in the registered nurse medical surgical position.

In my previous role, I was responsible for evidence of mandatory education requirements per hospital policy and continuing education relevant to the clinical practice area as regulated by the board of nursing for the state of Texas.

• For FT/PT RNs in Dept 60810 - ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course (ONS Chemo)
• For RNs in Dept 61310 – Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) verification course within allotted timeframe
• Current license as an RN
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCL) and certification
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit(s)
• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through completion at an accredited School of Nursing
• Interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact with patients, families and physicians, and to demonstrate empathy and sensitivity necessary to elicit patients' cooperation and allay apprehensions
• Prior telemetry course and cardiac nursing experience preferred
