ICU Registered Nurse Cover Letter

In the previous role, I was responsible for patient and family instruction related to the plan of care, disease process, new treatment plans, and medication regimens.

Please consider my experience and qualifications for this position:

• Weekend/Holiday rotation (Every other weekend off)
• Basic Coronary Care certification, or attainment within 90 days of hire (training will be provided if needed)
• Strong working knowledge of life support machines, cardiac monitoring systems, and critical care nursing interventions preferred
• Previous experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred
• Based on assessment of physical, emotional, bio-physical, and spiritual needs, provides direct patient care and evaluates outcomes
• In collaboration with the patient, family, and other members of the healthcare team, systematically develops, revises, and coordinates the patient's plan of care
• In coordinating the delivery of patient care, delegates activities to unlicensed staff in accordance with MedStar/facility policies, principles of Patient-Centered Care, and the Maryland Nurse Practice Act
• Implement and monitor patient care plan
