Previously, I was responsible for information and guidance to employees, financial institutions, vendors and others related to accounting processes and activities.

I reviewed the requirements of the job opening and I believe my candidacy is an excellent fit for this position. Some of the key requirements that I have extensive experience with include:

• Preparation of primary financial statements (annual and interim) & all related notes in accordance with accounting and regulatory disclosure requirements (IFRS, US GAAP an advantage) within agreed client deadlines & SLA’s
• Work alongside a team of 10-15 professionals with managing day-to-day efforts
• Mastery of inter-dependencies and impacts of upstream and downstream teams have on Fund Accounting
• Complete the NAV validation process of complex portfolios with some simple and medium portfolios in accordance with the controls checklist to comply with GS007 standards and by ensuring that adequate documentation is on file to fully explain and support all items, particularly those, which are deemed unusual
• Primary responsibility of the team is the maintenance of accurate accounting and securities records for each asset administered, ensuring all prescribed controls are adhered to for each alternative asset held within the portfolios
• Problem-solving investigation & resolution where market values or transactions breach the validation tolerances
• Timeliness of delivery, accounting validation and management escalation, in the event of issues, is essential to the success of the individual’s and team’s performance
• Reviewing of all financial statements prior to production and ensuring timely and accurate sign offs are in place from various constituents of the valuation process
