• Supervises or personally performs the loading or unloading of personal property on buses
• Posts manifests, inventories, and other records of goods and people transported
• Keeps a written record of trips, mileages, stopovers, purchases of gasoline, oil and other materials, bridge and road tolls
• Reports apparent major malfunctions and needed repairs to appro­priate supervisory or maintenance staff
• Changes tires and inflates to proper pressures
• Replaces windshield wiper blades
• Checks adequacy of appropriate fluid levels for radiator, battery, and crankcase

• Checks horn, directional lights, head, tail, parking, and emergency lights for proper operation
• Checks proper operation of braking system
• Working knowledge of the Vehicle and Traffic Law as it applies to the safe and legal operation of vehicles operated
• Working knowledge of simple automotive repair and maintenance procedures
• Working knowledge of routes to specific locations normally visited
• No more than 2 points within the last 12 months on DMV H6 printout
• Knowledge of safe driving practices, bus maintenance and repair
• CPR/First Aid Certification (First Aid Certificate)
