  • Provides infrastructure support with various Microsoft Windows products including, System Center Configuration Manager, and Systems Center Operations Manager
  • Supports multiple Virtual Platforms and maintains and develops a virtual environment to streamline server, desktop, application, and user consolidation
  • Participates in topology design for new or modified systems including analysis of performance responses, recovery capacities, automatic diagnostics, and redundancy capacity
  • Manages day-to-day activities of server administration including installing, modifying, configuring, resolving problems, and maintaining servers, printers, and storage devices; and detects and fixes hardware issues in the data center such as servers and storage
  • Determines the problem identification and business resumption strategies and leads efforts to restore system functions, leveraging Systems Development, and Customer Support staff as necessary
  • Administers iSCSI and/or fiber-channel Storage Area Network and implements data center methodologies and best practices
  • Implements fault tolerant technologies such as Microsoft Exchange, SQL, DFS, File Shares, Printing, and Web
  • Prepares documentation including technical designs and operational manuals and prepares documentation for meetings, technical discussions, brainstorming, and problem solving
  • Performs backups and recoveries of all data, servers and storage
  • Performs engineering level services in conjunction with architecture teams and recommends optimal solutions
