- Transfers and properly position patients for examinations in order to obtain desired radiographic results according to physician’s specifications and provides immobilization and protection as required

- May be responsible for specific areas of instruction for ancillary personnel
- Practices sterile technique and prevents cross contamination
- Use of PACS and Syngo.Has knowledge of the hospital PACS system, to review and acquire current and previous images

- At least one-year experience as a registered ARRT and six months on-the-job MRI experience
- Must be Registered ARRT technologist
- Regularly consults with radiologists and physicians, and other staff technologists, in order to pursue answers to questions or to observe new techniques and procedures
- When requested is willing to adjust personal schedule to complete workload, and makes sure that procedures will be completed even if it involves staying late

MRI Tech Job Description
- Must appear friendly to all customers and patients at all times
- Sends images to QC station and then to PACS and archives images
- Transports, lifts, moves and positions patients as needed to obtain images, transport patient to/from department, table or as otherwise needed for patient care
- Performs direct patient care duties, within scope of practice, including assisting radiologist with interventional procedures such as biopsies or drainage procedures
- Performs basic patient care including monitoring of patient condition, and caring for patient safety and privacy
- Rotates through standby call, and is available on premises within 30 minutes of notification
