• Current CPR and Fire Safety cards
• Clinical Instructor training prior to assignment of a full time student

• Competent in differential diagnosis of language disorders apart from typical ELLs language(s), accents, and dialects
• MA or PhD in Linguistics and/or Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
• Familiar with face-to-face and computer-based English language assessment formats (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, OPI/OPIc, SPEAK
• Knowledge of ACTFL proficiency scale and/or Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) assessments
• Voice, Dysphagia, Cognitive Impairments, and Aphasia experience preferred
• Holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency by ASHA
• Current California Speech licensure
• Current, pending, or RPE temporary California State licensure

• New York State Licensure in Speech Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) awarded by the American Speech Language Hearing Association
• Experience or strong interest in evaluating and managing patients with head and neck cancer receiving or previously received chemoradiation for cancer of the head or neck including pre-treatment counseling, managing changes in swallow function and treatment toxicities during, and long-term follow-up on the survivorship level
• Experience or strong interest in providing pre-operative education, immediate post-operative evaluation and treatment, and long-term treatment and support to patients undergoing surgery for cancer within the head and neck including glossectomy, tonsillectomy, maxillectomy, pharyngectomy, laser or robotic resections, among other primary surgical interventions
• Evaluating swallowing and voice with Tracheostomy and ventilator dependent patients
• Experience with instrumental evaluations of both swallowing and voice- Videofluoroscopy, FEES, Videostroboscopy
• Current or Pending California Speech licensure
• Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow studies preferred
