• CPI Blue (or equivalent)
• Previous experience with adolescents is preferred
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI within 6 months of hire)
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, DSM IV, The Joint Commission and 2765 regulatory standards
• The job is high stress due to the varied tasks and scope of responsibility
• The Manager needs to make rapid decisions about emergency problems and situations
• Provides safe and appropriate care within the Standards of Nursing practice at The Medical Center of Aurora
• Graduate from an approved school of nursing or psychiatric technician program

• Acute care experience in medicine and surgery in a hospital setting strongly preferred with home health care experience preferred
• Current Utah RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing
• Current or prior Management of Assaultive Behavior ( MOAB ) certification or CPI certification with agreement to retrain in CPI within two months of hire
• Recent RN experience in inpatient psych setting strongly preferred
• Insured and reliable transportation
• Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR certification

• Current CPI training or completion within 90 days of employment with annual recertification
• TNCC or ENPC preferred, to be certified within the first 6 months of hire
