Responsibilities for Patient Care Tech Cover Letter

Patient care tech responsible for patient care and duties to assist with activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

To perform skilled, routine tasks and prescribed procedures in the care of patients, under the direction of a licensed professional nurse
Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program
o BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Willingness to work in multiple areas of hospital including, but not limited to Med Surg, ED, Radiology
Assist with Vital Signs (includes manual blood pressure), 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse
Graduate of a Nursing Assistant course preferred
Junior status in an accredited BSN program
Certified (CNA) by the State of Texas strongly preferred
