In the previous role, I was responsible for inspection and data entry of transportation structures in accordance with the Ontario Structure Inspection Manual (OSIM);.

I reviewed the requirements of the job opening and I believe my candidacy is an excellent fit for this position. Some of the key requirements that I have extensive experience with include:

• Hold a Level 2 certificate in radiographic inspection issued under the PCN, NAS 410 or EN 4179 schemes (Essential)
• Holder of Level 2 certificates in other methods (ultrasound, penetrant) is beneficial
• Use of PC Applications - primarily Microsoft suite of tools
• Be able to support corrective and preventative actions
• Customer focussed with a passion to provide exceptionally high levels of standard
• Able to read and interpret applicable NDT Standards and Specifications”
• AME license would be considered an asset

Previously, I was responsible for technical support to the manufacturing floor, including visual aids, instructions, inspection forms, etc., to support Production and Quality objectives.

Please consider my experience and qualifications for this position:

• Practical knowledge of ASME codes and standards
• Certified RTI Level I or II Certified MPI Level I or II
• To provide NDT testing, welding inspection and consultancy services to light and heavy industry to clients to help them solve their maintenance problems and
• To perform specialist NDT checks and evaluations of existing plant, welds, mechanical failures, corrosion and erosion and advising and supervising repairs
• Be qualified to prepare, operate and maintain non-destructive equipment such as the Magnaglo and Zyglo testers and to inspect parts tested to product requirements
• Familiarity with the scope and limitations of liquid penetrant (NDT/PT) and radiographic inspection (NDT/RT) methods
• NDT Training/Certification
• FPI Level II Certification

In my previous role, I was responsible for dimensional & visual inspection of machined fabricated components using conventional measuring instruments.

My experience is an excellent fit for the list of requirements in this job:

• Knowledge of Quality Assurance documents (Inspection Plans, Non-Conformance Reports, etc)
• HNC/ NC in Engineering/ Science and/or Membership of a Professional Institution
• CSWIP 3.1 (minimum) welding inspection qualification
• Additional PCN/CSWIP and/or quality auditing certification would be advantageous
• Knowledge of design, manufacturing, fabrication, NDT and inspection processes
• Experience in the inspection of advanced materials such as high strength aluminum alloys, precipitation hardened steels, inconel titanium & managing steel (super alloys)
• Able to lift 25 lbs unassisted, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, and twist
• Certified as Level II X-Ray per SNT-TC-1A and NAS-410

• Certified at Level II in magnetic particle inspection (both wet and dry process, and continuous and residual methods), liquid penetrant inspection (visible and fluorescent), and visual inspection per NDTQA-L1 in compliance with T9074-AS-GIB-010/271, NAS 410, and SNT-TC-1A
• Familiarity with the use of micrometers, dial indicators, NDT methods, dial bore gauges, profilometers, optical comparators
• Hold a Level 2 certificate in ultrasonic inspection issued under the PCN, NAS 410 or EN 4179 schemes (Essential)
• Holder of Level 2 certificates in other methods (radiography or penetrant) is beneficial
• Current Eddy Current (EC) preferred
• Current Liquid Penetrant (PT) preferred
• Proficient using Microsoft Office software, SAP and TeamCenter preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Lotus Notes
