• Current technologist–level certification with ASCP or equivalent
• The Med Tech will perform standard laboratory procedures requiring a broad use of independent judgment and responsibility with minimal technical supervision
• The Med Tech will maintain equipment and records and perform quality control related to test performance
• ASCP or equivalent or eligible for certification and completed within 6 months
• Knowledge of or experience with blood culture systems, bacterial identification systems, susceptibility systems, and molecular based technologies
• Is motivated to be part of a team effort, contribute to improvements and support initiatives in the lab
• ASCP certified is highly desirable
• National certification in Medical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology by ASCP or equivalent
