• Recognition of specific metallic microstructures and fracture defect identification
• MAdvanced skill level in macro-photography, including fractography, lighting techniques, and operation of macro cameras and stereo microscopes
• Selection of metallographic techniques, including cloths, grinding media, polishing media, mounting epoxy systems, to produce optimum finishes without distortion or edge rounding
• Knowledge of various corrosion failure mechanisms
• Laboratory experience in specialized corrosion testing of different materials, involving hazardous chemicals
• Handling Knowledge of various corrosion and materials testing procedures
• Experience in setting up a diverse array of equipment for evaluating different corrosion failure mechanisms of various materials (glass, metals, non-metallics, ceramics)
