• Successful completion of the Registered Nurse Orientation Program at Alliance Community Hospital
• Successful completion of any additional educational requirements of the hospital or the emergency department
• Joins and maintains membership in ONA and the Alliance local unit of ONA within 31 days of employment
• Certified Emergency Nurse preferred
• Knowledge of how to perform a 12 Lead EKG preferred
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license active in Minnesota
• Assesses patients, identifies obvious subtle patient problems and/or abnormal assessments, anticipates changes in patient's condition and appropriately reports and resolves
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification within 90 days of hire or promotion

• ER staff does not float to other units
• We have a designated charge that sometimes takes patients
• Currently, we don't always have a designated triage

• Texas or New Mexico State Registered Nurse license
• Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse recognition through Texas or New Mexico Board of Nursing
• ACLS (GN’s and GVN’s have 6 months to obtain)

• Graduate of a State Board accredited School of Nursing or equivalent
• National Board Certification, or eligible to be certified, as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
• Diploma in Nursing with valid registration
• Unrestricted license to practice
