In my previous role, I was responsible for digital copies of the current set of Colorado State University Building Construction Standards pertaining to each Capital Construction Project to the responsible Project Manager.

• Have a broad spread of building surveying experience
• Some knowledge of Building Regulations and Health & Safety and Environmental Regulations
• Minimum qualification of BTEC ONC in Building Studies or an equivalent building qualification
• Progressing or willingness to progress towards a professional qualification, preferably either the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) or Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB)
• Knowledge of report writing and presentation skills
• IT literate in MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, Project )
• Have some understanding of JCT contracts
• Comfortable in client-facing situations and be able to hold their own conversations and discussions with contractors

• Chartered Engineer/Surveyor (Preferred by not essential)
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit would be an advantage
• Knowledge of building services would be an advantage

• Carry out stock condition assessments (recording information both digitally & manually)
• Prepare reports, including lifecycle & cost data
• Prepare detailed specifications (including using NBS Specification software if appropriate)
